The Walrus and the CarpenterApril 20, 2006 Lennon book sells for £126,500
A John Lennon schoolbook containing an illustration of the poem "The Walrus and the Carpenter" by Lewis Carroll was sold at auction last night for more than £125,000. The poem was the inspiration for the Beatles' song "I am the Walrus".
